Teaching 4 Business is committed to promoting the health, safety, and well-being of all employees, including those working remotely. This policy outlines our commitment to ensuring a safe remote work environment and provides guidelines for remote workers to follow.
This policy applies to all employees who work from home or other remote locations, either full-time or part-time.
Teaching 4 Business will:
• Ensure that employees have the resources and support needed for a safe remote work setup.
• Guide safe workstation arrangements.
• Offer training and support on ergonomic practices, mental well-being, and general safety for remote work.
• Address any safety concerns raised by remote workers promptly.
Remote employees are responsible for:
• Creating a Safe Workspace: Choose a quiet, well-lit space free from hazards such as tripping risks or unstable furniture.
• Ergonomics: Set up a comfortable workspace with an appropriate chair, desk, and computer setup. Adjust the chair and screen height to maintain good posture.
• Regular Breaks: Take regular breaks to stretch, move around, and rest eyes and muscles.
• Mental Health and Well-being: Maintain a work-life balance and ask for support if needed.
• Reporting Issues: Report any health or safety concerns, injuries, or incidents to your manager or HR.
To ensure a safe working environment, employees should:
• Arrange Workspaces Ergonomically: Ensure that your chair supports your back, your feet rest flat on the floor, and your screen is at eye level.
• Manage Screen Time: Take a break from screen work for 5-10 minutes every hour to prevent eye strain and physical discomfort.
• Keep Work Area Tidy: Clear your workspace of clutter and potential hazards. • Establish a Work Routine: Set boundaries to maintain a clear start and end to the workday to avoid overwork and burnout.
Teaching 4 Business encourages all employees to:
• Make use of well-being resources, including employee assistance programs and mental health support.
• Engage in regular physical activity and take breaks during the workday.
Employees should report any health or safety concerns related to remote work to their manager or the HR team. We will address issues promptly and work with employees to find solutions.
This policy reinforces our commitment to supporting a safe and healthy work environment for all remote workers.
